We have modfied small correction regarding ID transmission of wav files.
 IMPOTANT NOTICE 

WiRES-II may not work properly at all after January 31, 2008 , if you use any versions released prior to Ver 3.301. Please update your latest WiRES-II program as soon as possible. (NB: The current latest version)     
This is for the system security and stability enhancement.

Vertex Standard is pleased to announce the availability of a new upgrade to WiRES-II.  
You may download the latest version, Ver. 3.504 from the download site.
We recommend all the WiRES node users using the versions prior to Ver. 3.301 to upgrade to Ver. 3.504 as soon as possible. The previous versions may not work properly after January 31, 2008.

Please see below for information regarding the differences between V3.401 and 3.504:

Updated features between Ver 3.503 and Ver 3.504 ;
- Fixed in "Return to resident Round QSO Room" function, the fault for which connection start time is delayed was corrected by Return time setup.
- It corresponded to Windows 7.

New Features and Functions of the Wires-II (Ver. 3.504)

New expanded “Return to Resident Round QSO Room” function

The timer to limit for the stations to stay in the QSO Room has been added. You are now able to set your designated desirable time for up to three/3 independent stations to connect to the room automatically. 
(NB: In order to make this function available, you need to turn off the Resident Function to the designation station.  
Property-> General Settings-> TOT)

New Group Window Display
The detail contents of The Group Window Display are now expanded to 3/three screens, and you can now choose and select your preference.  

“SRG/FEG/Bookmark List”
You may choose this screen to display the Node/Room stations designated by “Group Settings” as previously.

“Connecting Node List” (New)

To display all the node stations currently connecting to the QSO Room you are connecting now.

“My Room Access List”
(New, only when you are operating your Round QSO Room at your node)


To display all the node stations currently connecting to your QSO Room.

* You are able to see all these list with your preference by QTH, ID#, Call sign, etc. to sort ascending/descending in alphabetical order.

(a) Additional “Refresh” function
(b) The node number and its Callsign currently in transmission will be displayed.

Additional Display of the TOT Counter

Your remained available transmission time will be displayed (counting down from three/3 minutes).

* You HRI-100 has a TOT function to stop your transmission automatically in 3 minutes.   The display, therefore, shows you how many seconds you can still transmit until your WiRES-II shuts off your transmission automatically.

Changes and additional functions of the Audio Settings function

(a)Sound Device Selection (New.   File Audio Settings)
Even when you have several Sound Devices (Drivers), you may able to choose your most desirable one
.

(b) Change in the “Other” setting/configuration of the Voice in Select function
Deleted to select from  MIC/LINE/Other.    On/Off configuration for “Other”

Other = OFF : Audio only comes in from the device (driver) you selected with the Sound Device selection (disregarding and overriding your original selection of your Operating System).
Only MIC or LINE-IN can be selected as your “Voice In Select”.

Other = ON : Audio only comes from the device (driver) that you selected with the Sound Device selection.
Both of your audio “In and Out” will not be controlled and configured

(c) Changes in configuring  your audio related settings/parameters
When you are connected, you are not able to change/configure your Voice In Select/Sound Device parameters. You will be required to restart your WiRES-II program.
The details (of your new arrangement) will be recorded in your log.

(d) Deleted “Other = ON” display (at the right end corner of the display).  
To be displayed as “Other (IN)”.



Initialization to the Default Function


(a)New additional function to return back and to initialize to the default conditions.
(b)Reset Function of your Wires-II activation with the WiRES-II Server
(You have now no need to configure to re-set up your program when you change your registered information.)

Display of the Parameters of CW/Voice on the Property Sheet


For Windows Vista/7

(a) HELP File style
Changed the help file from Windows HELP[WiRES-IIhlp] to [WiRES-IIchm]

(b)Volume Control
For XP and other former OS : Adjusted by the Master Vol (SP Level) and the WAVE vol (WAVE LEVEL) For Vista/7 : The SP level only to be adjusted by the application. As the master level to be adjusted by the OS, it is required to be adequately adjusted.

COM PORT : Now expanded up to 256.


Limitation of frequency input format
Currently limited up to 13000MHz -> Now up to 999999.99MHz (nine(9) digits with four (4) decimals

QSL pictures to be shown for the own node/Room at the Get Info display

IN/OUT Announcement Updated for making proper announcement when configured ID timing=”Wait”/ID and TX mode only=”Only not connected”.

Remote Operation
Updated for making proper behavior for the exit operation of the remote function when the Personal Settings/Round QSO Room Setting displays are on.

Important note for all Round QSO Room owners
Please make your allowable stations that can check-in your QSO room as minimum as necessary.   You may need more RAM memories, faster processor PCs, and/or faster broadband internet traffic connection environment, etc.)

WiRES-II Ver. 3.504 Requirements (IMPORTANT)

Due to functional enhancement of Ver. 3.504, following is minimum requirement.  
The WiRES-II System Ver. 3.504 may not properly work if not satisfying this minimum requirement.Vertex Standard may not be able to support any environments not satisfying this minimum requirement.


*Operating system : Microsoft® Windows® 2000 / Windows® XP / Windows® VistaTM / Windows® 7 (NB: Currently, not supporting Windows anything prior to Windows 95,98,98SE,ME)

*Processor Clock Frequency
Microsoft® Windows® 2000: 400 MHz (or faster) / Windows® XP: 800 MHz (or faster)
Windows® VistaTM : 1.2 GHz (or faster) / Windows® 7: 1.2 GHz (or faster)

*RAM :
Microsoft® Windows® 2000: 256 MB (or more) / Windows® XP: 512 MB (or more)
Windows® VistaTM : 1 GB (or more) / Windows® 7: 2 GB (or more)
*HDD : At least 100 MB of available hard disk space

*COM PORT (RS-232C):
If a COM port is not available in your PC, you will need to purchase and install an aftermarket USB - RS-232C (COM) converter interface.

*Display: A video card and display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or more, and a minimum of 256 colors, are recommended.

*Sound card: 8 kHz sampling rate Sound Card (note that some sound cards may not work properly

Others :When using Voice function, you will need to install the Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1 (for Windows 2000).  You will also need to download from the download site to obtain additional voice audio modules even though you are using Windows XP (that originally includes the Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1).
